The Bite of Oregon / Dining Out In The NorthWest Chef Stage
The theme this year is Celebrating Oregon’s Bounty and in this regard, Oregon has much to boast about. Of course there will be an assortment of savory and sweet food offerings to satisfy your palate with a wide array of restaurants, food carts, dessert purveyors and more than 20 flavors of Oregon craft beer and wine.
The Bite is excited to welcome back the Oregon Bounty Chef’s Table, where they are partnering with eight different Oregon Agricultural Commissions who will be featuring a variety of locally grown and produced products. The various Commissions will be joining forces with Pro Chef’s Oregon, a non-profit chapter of the American Culinary Federation comprised of chefs, and students dedicated to the profession of food preparation. Collectively, they will be preparing some delicious bites featuring Oregon seafood, beef, blackberries, blueberries & raspberries, potatoes, and dairy to name a few. Come celebrate and enjoy some of Oregon’s magnificent culinary bounty!
Be sure not to miss the Dining Out In The NorthWest Chef Stage Presented by FSA where chefs compete with, demonstrate and sample their favorite dishes. Well known chefs include Jenn Louis of Lincoln and Sunshine Tavern, Joseph Meyer of Koho Bistro, Joshua Merrion of Doug Fir Lounge, Joe Kim of 5 Fusion and Sushi Bar, Lisa Shroeder of Mother’s Bistro and Tim McDonald from Dining Out In The NorthWest.
Well known as Oregon’s premier culinary festival, this three-day event features an abundance of mouth watering menu items offered by some of Oregon’s culinary finest. Whether it’s sampling a multitude of small plates or enjoying a meal sized portion, the choices are varied, delicious and plentiful! Food prices vary from vendor to vendor. Price range for restaurants, food carts and dessert vendors are from $2-$9 per item.
Perhaps the best part of this weekend long event is that the Bite of Oregon is a fundraiser for Special Olympics Oregon. With 10,000 participants, Special Olympics Oregon offers 40 Olympic-type sports during their summer and winter state games. You don’t want to miss this!
