Eat at Mo’s & Help Support Local Kids

Published Jul 3rd, 2014

Mo's Table FundraiserOn July 1st, Mo’s restaurants in Cannon Beach, Lincoln City, Newport and Florence have brought in a special “MOtivation for Kids” table which will raise money for local charities that are devoted to helping the wellbeing of local children.  A portion of sales gathered from guests who dine on this special table will be donated to different local charities throughout the year.

During the month of July Head Start of Florence and Lincoln City along with the Cannon Beach Academy and the Food Bank of Lincoln County will be honored at their “MOtivation for Kids” table.

“Every community along the Oregon Coast needs so much help throughout the year so we have decided to step up and help those charities that give our children a fighting chance at a brighter tomorrow.  These tables may not have the best views but they definitely are the most rewarding tables to dine on in the restaurant,” said Bob Scull, Regional Manager of Mo’s Restaurants.

More about Mo’s
When Mohava Marie Niemi, Newport’s crusty, big hearted chain smoking mother died in 1992 at the age of 79, she left behind much more than a successful business and a trunk full of colorful anecdotes. Her greatest legacy, perhaps, was the work ethic she instilled in her family, which survives to this day. Her restaurants have been and continue to be written up in dozens of newspapers and magazines around the United States. In 1999 Mo’s Clam Chowder was a featured entrée at the first luncheon ever held in the Smithsonian Institute, which celebrated “Best American Regional Foods.”

Mo’s has been serving the freshest Oregon Seafood and nationally known Clam Chowder for more than 50 years. A trip to the coast is not complete without a bowl of their famous clam chowder.
